French by birth, but immigrated to Canada, Brazil, Portugal and now Belgium, La Dame started as a DJ under the name “Carie” in 2002.
A big fan of breakbeats, from hiphop to jungle, she started to explore global sounds like afrohouse, kuduro, baltimore, arabic trap, Brazilian music, etc. She is fascinated by a wide spectrum of music, emanating joy, percussion, surprises and non-binary rhythms.
Her monthly radio shows on Kiosk (BE) and Radio Meuh (FR) bear witness to this polyglottism.
Apart from her DJ career, she started producing, with nice releases, EPs or remixes, notably on Blanc-Manioc (FR), Turntables on the Hudson (USA), Sapyens (CZ), Selvamonos (PER), Heavenly Sweetness (FR).
She is now one of the key figures of the French tropical music scene
