Don Char ( He / Him – pronounced Don’t Cha) is a French disc-jockey and producer based in Brussels. Resident at Kiosk Radio (with Holy Coco as Emergency Loop DJ) and Station Station (Paris), he has a deep experience of transcending hearts and bodies with his music. Sailing from UK bass to the most poisonous polyrhythms, his sound unites and deconstructs the boundaries between club and dub sonorities. Don is a hard digger who enjoys going deep into his selection and propund journey with a strong sense of storytelling within his experience at many radios worldwide (Lyl, Radio Sofa, Cannibal, Piñata, Operator and many more).
Co-founder of the brusseleir label and collective “Polytope”, he has curated and organized many events from diy space to venues such as beursschouwburg, Recyclart or even Bozar (BE). As a DJ, he has been booked by Hors-Sol Festival, Optimistic Festival, Le Point Ephémère, le Couvent de la Belle de Mai (FR), b-side, Not Now (GR), Operator (NL)… At these occasions, he already shared the decks with multiple talented artists such as Kasper Marott, Assyouti, Zero Crossing Point, Bambi, k-means, Basile3, Daisy Ray, Renart, Ossia, Donia, Elvira and many more.
Not only a selector, the don is also a versatile producer. Using both hardware, ableton and field recordings, he is actually working on an EP with Holy Coco under their alias Emergency Loop. It will be released in 2026. You can already hear his past releases on Garage 83-C, Armen Crew and on his own Polytope label.
