Bound by friendship since the age of 13, the members of KAU draw from their jazz roots to incorporate dynamic rhythms and captivating grooves. Since 2020, they have been pushing the boundaries of their craft, constantly exploring new musical frontiers to deliver a sound that is both unique and electrifying.
Their debut album, “The Cycle Repeats,” released in September 2023 on the Ghent-based label SDBAN Ultra, was critically acclaimed for its innovation and freshness. In September 2024, they return with a two-track EP titled “Mad Kau,” promising even more thrilling experiences.
KAU has already set ablaze some of Belgium’s most iconic venues, including Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and De Roma in Antwerp, where they opened for Alfa Mist. Their contagious energy has also left a mark at major festivals such as Dour Festival, Gent Jazz, Jazz à Liège, Jazz:Re:Found and Nuits Botanique, both in Belgium and abroad.
